About Me

Having a lovely time mucking about abit finding his musical feet within the confines of a comedy punk band called Partition, Boyd gradually got the confidence to break out and play his own Songs eventually recording his first EP with Richard Webb in 2003.Called "Six in Sixteen" it featured the following tracks: "Shop" ; "Spoon" ; "One day your train will be first"; "King of Mesopotamia" ; "The Seventh Year" ; "My Alba".In 2005 Boyd released his second ep which was produced by Ian Catt, of St Etienne, The Field Mice and Trembling Blue Stars fame. The resulting 5 track ep was called "Sideways" and featured the following tracks: ’Oh Fern’ ; ’Sideways’ ; ’She’s down again’ ; ’Viva Left Handers’ and ’Safe and Sound’ . Some of the tracks will be made available for download here, so keep your eyes peeled.Nowadays, you can find Boyd in a new band called The Hillfields. He’s singing and playing guitar with his friends Grant Wilkinson (on bass guitar) and Carlos Russell (on drums). The Hillfields have just released their first single through Cloudberry Records, www.cloudberryrecords.com. It’s a 3 track ep called "A Visit" and it features " A Visit / Winsome Lostit / The Front Room ". You can listen to tracks on the cloudberry website above and download one of the tracks there and from www.myspace.com/thehillfields.And you never know Partition might be appearing at a comedy venue near you, eventually, as is their way. www.myspace.com/thebandpartition
