QUILOMBO is a non-profit cultural club founded in January 2004.
Its main goal is to spread in Greece the Afro-Brazilian music, dance and culture in general.
Originally formed by musicians, dancers, actors and teachers
who shared the same love for the Afro-Brazilian music,QUILOMBO organizes lessons on percussion and dance, seminars, meetings video projections and exhibitions giving its members the chance to enhance their knowledge on this area.It is now addressed in the ancient Athens’ district of Ceramicos and its clubhouse is also the home of the SAMBAXE professional percussion band.
It also participates in a network with other organizations
and clubs of similar interest in Greece and abroad.
