ETCHSTONE

Etchstone's beginnings go back to the year 2000, when Ryan Howard and Landon Headrick began to share a common interest in playing music. At the time, both had been playing their instruments for only a few months. Although it literally took years of improvement to be able to create decent music, they remained dedicated to the cause. In 2005, Denis Gilpin joined up to play bass, but would soon switch to drums after Howard moved to vocals and guitar. Mark Kohlenberger, who recently joined on bass, finally completes the line up. First and foremost, the guys in Etchstone are and always have been huge fans of rock music. They have been fortunate in seeing firsthand hundreds of amazing bands live; acts such as U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creed, Rage Against the Machine, Bush, Our Lady Peace, Aerosmith, and the Foo Fighters. Being such devoted fans of rock music has afforded the band the ability to recognize the power and emotion of a great song. Etchstone strives to create great songs.
After recording a few demo tracks this past year, the band looks forward to the rest of 2008 and plans on playing several shows starting summer 2008. Also, the band is looking forward to recording a few of their heavier/faster songs in the near future. So stay tuned in for everything Etchstone.
