Influences: soggy cabbage is sort of a new name for a group of people that has been doing gigs for more than 15 years, soggy cabbage actually is a collection of some awesome musical memories of a whole bunch of people that now in some cases have children, jobs, explicit dissaproval of soggy cabbage... you know. Some bands that played in belgium because of these people were f.e. the van pelt(the lapse), bob tilton, the dragon rapide, bilge pump, brown owl, even polaris!!!, rye coalition, side by side, ... just to name a few... . soggy cabbage is also a collection of aspirations for future-gigging!soggy cabbage has done some gigs for these sweeties as well... kazuamsumaki, hitch, i love sarah, guernica, topenga, kill yourself, eikels, jason dohnivan merreuuhh, milgram, traffico, poltergroom, bronze, gasoline dc, allume tes cheveux, gatechien, sincabeza, lawrence wasser, the unit ama, isambard kingston brunel, that fucking tank, radiateur, gel for michelle, retconned, fluid to gas, le singe blanc, cissy, origami, kickball, cheap electric, i do i do, ...oh yes and soggy cabbage does have way too much wisdom for you to ever understand so please don't be mad. thanks for reading this crap!
Sounds Like: bilge pump(leeds/uk) Atmospheric but ramshackle, the drum work echoes a jazz background as the guitars go low and sometimes squeal underneath the singerâ€™s most un-hardcore of yelps. poltergroom(leeds/uk) three guys stripped to the waist, one wearing a witches hat and the other an executioner's hood-cum-witches hat. The play very noisy random avant-garde stuff with the added fun of piping calling vocals like flutes. This Ain't Vegas!!! drie drinken nog altijd gene gratis maar toch kwaazie het beloofd te worden, een vettige petaazie!!! hier zie MAANDAG 12 NOVEMBER 20H @ ENVERS SWA ANTWERPEN â‚¬ 3 ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------------------- Kickball(olympia/US) No two Kickball shows are the same, but whether the group is in a sparkling new club, a dive bar or a dingy basement, the Olympia trio always seems to embrace and exploit the inherent awkwardness of each performance. In a small venue, Kickball sets up in front of the stage and makes it seem even smaller. Band members turn their backs on the crowd and carry on unintelligible conversations between songs. Singer-guitarist Jacob Wilson treats shows like disastrous first dates, his Robert Smith-meets-Will Oldham voice fluttering to each corner of the room in search of a window, his lips seldom touching the microphone. Somewhere during the band's set, each eccentricity becomes endearing as Kickball counters its introverted awkwardness with the kind of warmth and intragroup chemistry veteran jazz groups long for. First Kickball makes you blush; then it makes you wish more bands could be this good and, moreover, this free to be itself. Cheap, Electric(lyon, fr) lightningboltishy, dancy and with bontempi organs!!!
