About Me


..... Majestee first got exposed to techno and house in the early 90's and immediately fell in love. After attending his first rave in 1993, he realized his calling and later got his first pair of turntables. Majestee has gone on to become a sought after DJ in LA's dance music community notable for track selection, clean mixing, tricks, and 2x4 performances.Although recognized for his hardcore and drum & bass sets, Majestee enjoys a wide range of music including old-school techno, all forms of acid, house, trance, breaks, early nineties hip-hop, freestyle, downtempo, 80s, & more.He has performed on live radio shows including Radiobomb on KPFK 90.7fm, hardcoreheadzradio.net, and a hardcore mix for Powertool's DJ contest played on Power 106 under the alias DJ Rush. This year gave way to his first track, “Gang Violence People” with DJ Fiend released on Altern-Hate Recordings. He has also done various club gigs playing everything from hip-hop to house.In 1999, Majestee and his partner Arcade founded The Artificial Intelligence Unit and have gone on to produce over 60 events. The AIU's first project was the annual event “51-50: The Looney Bin”. These "51-50" events took place inside dirty warehouses, halls, lofts, and restaurants across LA for 5 years. Guests included Jappo (Italy), Berzerker (Australia), and DJ Tron. The end of 2004 gave birth to The A.I.U.’s latest project, “Audio Asylum”. Audio Asylum is a monthly event which showcases international hardcore, drum & bass, and techno talent. Past guests have included DJ Swamp (Beck), Delta-9 (Chicago), DJ Tron (Chicago), Lenny Dee (NY), Simon Underground (UK), Tieum (France), Radium (France), Bryan Fury (Holland), Matt Green (UK), Budburnerz (France), Moleculez (Holland), Ewun (NY), Social Security (UK), as well as L.A.’s own legends.Majestee also works at Music Revolution, an independent record store which carries vinyl, CDs, clothing, gifts, smoking accessories, and more. He is currently the music buyer and marketing director and has helped organize several in-store shows with artists Psycho Realm, DJ Muggs, Kottonmouth Kings, Grouch and PSC of the Living Legends, 2Mex of the Visionaries, Delinquent Habits, and the legendary Egyptian Lover.Majestee has performed at events headlined by world-famous artists such as Run-Dmc, DJ Q-Bert, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Frankie Bones, 808 State, Woody Mc Bride, Adam X, Omar Santana, Hellfish, DJ Jokey, Inner Child, The Pharcyde, Mc Rage, Placid K, Destroyer, Geoff Da Chef, Digital Boy, Tommyknocker, Ophidian, Africa Bambatta, D-Passion, Richard Humpty Vission, Sir Mix-a-Lot, X-Ecutioners, Kenny Larkin, Derrick May, Felix Da Housecat, T-1000, Pascal, Shy FX, John B, Odi, DJ Spooky, 3D, Keoki, Bad Company, Twisted Individual, Donald Glaude, Angel Alanis, CZR, Keoki, and Goldie..

Majestee @ Neokulture 2007I've been busy juggling school, work, the soundsystem, DJing, and still having time to chill but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm very fortunate and thank my family, friends, and God for allowing me to be where I am today.
