Zach Stewart

Zach Stewart(aka Skiff Feldspar) is a guitarist, composer and improvisor who makes his home in Seattle Washington. He is one of the founding members of the avant/jazz/rock/electro trio, Goat(w/ Greg Sinibaldi and Denali Williams) as well as a member of the improvising collective, Headlock. He also heads up his own group, the Skiff Feldspar Band. Zach migrated to Seattle in 2000 in order to further his musical endeavors. He attended Cornish College of the Arts where he studied jazz music. He also joined the jazz/rock/funk outfit, Beecraft before the group disbanded in 2003. After a brief stint of freelancing work, Zach was asked to join the popular Northwest jam/rock band, Flowmotion. He toured extensively and recorded 3 records with the band before departing in 2007 to persue new musical endeavors. Zach has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada including Folsom Prison and the High Sierra Music Festival. He shared the stage with such diverse players as Mike Dillon, Tony Furtado, Jessica Lurie, Vicci Martinez, Gerry Granelli, Briggan Krauss, Steve Kimock, Greg Campbell, The Staxx Brothers, and American Idol star, Blake Lewis.
