About Me

We're running a reading group monthly at Scrumpy Willow and the Singing Kettle, which is a lovely cafe with a delicious range of food and biscuits situation at 89a Clayton Street, Newcastle. We're having a Xmas break, so next meeting is 22nd Jan. We're reading The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desi. Then it'll be your turn to choose next time. Easy. Please put the word out, as I'd love a wide mix of people.Any questions about the group, please email [email protected] questions about the venue, go to http://scrumpywillowandthesingingkettle.co.uk/We also have a Facebook group as Scrumpy Willow Book ClubCheers

My Interests

Reading. Talking. Coffee. Biscuits.

I'd like to meet:

People who can read and have opinions and can talk about them. And then go to the pub and talk nonsense afterwards.

Books:

All of the good ones. We've already read 'Post Office' by Charles Bukowski; 'Down and Out in Paris and London' by George Orwell; 'Dermaphoria' by Craig Clavenger; 'The History of the World in 10.5 Chapters' by Julian Barnes; 'Apathy and Other Small Victories' by Paul Neilan; Delta of Venus by Anais Nin, and 'The Historian' by Paula Kostova.
