Coming soon.....If Hell has a Honky Tonk!!!!!

About Me

Sandy Ray -- Rhythm Guitar -- Lead and Harmony Vocals-----------------------Sandy Ray is a native of east Tennessee but has lived in a few other places, from northern Illinois to the Carolina Coast. Her love of singing started when she was about 5 years old when she began her musical journey belting gospel hymns in church houses in southern Appalachia; this was par for the course with her Pentecostal upbringing. Sandy has said that singing was the best thing about church, and she still loves gospel music. Sandy got the music bug honest, her father played a mean harmonica and several of her relatives were also musicians. Sandy credits many singers and songwriters as influences, including Lucinda Williams, Iris DeMent, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Patty Loveless, Alice Gerrard, Hazel Dickens, Hank Williams, George Jones, Kitty Wells, The Carter Family, and Patsy Cline to name a few. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------- Reverend “Slim John” Pruett – Electric Bass – Bass Fiddle – Lead and Harmony Vocals------------------------------------ John has a musical repertoire that would put a musicologist to shame. John has a well traveled soul and could easily live and prosper in any era as long as there was music. John plays a mean electric bass as well as bass fiddle. His most recent projects have been with The Cold Shoulders, Vanessa Boyd and The Yes Men, and he is currently a member of Lost Mountain String Band. Sampling any of his projects and one will see that John is very versatile and extremely talented.--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------------- Eric Chubb – Rhythm Guitar – Mandolin----------------------------Eric Chubb is a native of Midland, Michigan, but his soul is a southern as cornbread. Eric has a love of old time and traditional Honkey Tonk music. He credits Hank Williams, The Carter Family, and Jimmy Rodgers as influences. Since moving to Tennessee he has enjoyed the local flavor and has sat in on many projects. Eric also plays mandolin with The Lost Mountain String Band a regional favorite among old time music fans. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------ Dale McCray – Drums---------------------------------------------Dale McCray a lover of music is a very talented percussionist and has been a part of east Tennessee’s local music scene for a while. He is well known among area musicians. Besides his current role in The Cold Shoulders, Dale has played lead guitar with Rob Peter to Pay Paul, Vanessa Boyd and The Yesmen and currently plays drums with SinkdrinkeR. --------------------------
