Established in 1998, Reach...a movement collective inc. is located in downtown Kansas City. This unique and innovative dance theatre company presents high-quality public performances while increasing the understanding and appreciation of the dance art form through the presentation of choreographed, theatrical and improvisational works. Reach's dynamic, explosive, and dramatic choreography is a result of the strong and diverse background of its dancers and artists.

The company is under the direction of Richard Parsons and Marisa MacKay, who work collectively to explore new paths and support the dancers and choreographers. Working choreographers of Reach include company members as well as other professional choreographers across the United States and over seas. The company has performed self-produced shows and has also participated in festivals in Kansas City, Columbia, and St. Louis and is set to tour around the Midwest region. Reach...a movement collective inc. continues to advance, celebrate and explore what is beyond dance.
Reach began collaborating with visual, musical, theatrical and dance artists in 1999, providing an environment of inspiration and mutual contribution. Of note, Martha Heimbaugh [Visual Artist], Korey Ireland [Composer], and Roshan Paiva [Actor] have worked on multiple projects with Reach.
