About Me

Queens Bridge houses the projects was known for their reputation in the music industry, growing up around people like Marley Marl and M.C. Shan music has became my inspiration to become a hip-hop representative. B.I/Tremayne started focusing on his music feeling this is where he needed to be in life, he Tremayne started doing little shows at block party’s they had in the summertime. He was on his own at the age of 16 finding a job in a local restaurant and hustling on the side still thinking about his music being on radio, people would say that he was a hilarious, crazy individual and that he should become a comedian. His homies from the block gave him the name Black Ice when he was 18 years old, because he had a jacket made by Colombia that was called Black Ice, Because of his dark skin and because they said it was too cold out side for the jacket. That’s when he started as Black Ice. It became his name like his mother gave it to him and he knew it would be his name if he became a hip-hop representative. Doing shows with Mobb Deep and appearing in videos he started getting recognition then he would let people hear his music and they would tell him that he should have been signed, but the people who he was close to that are in the industry had no answers for me. He once went to the studio with CNN’s Capone and met Van Sylk ex D.J. for Slick Rick, he heard my music and ask me to flow 16 bars for a Compilation album dedicated to S.W.V then from there getting involved with independent record labels putting B.I/Tremayne through frustration of waiting and problems with contracts he met a A/R assistant at Arista Records named Baby Paul who recognized his music and tried to sign him with Arista Records but they felt he was to hardcore for their label. He then started promoting his album that was really his demo because it sounded that good. He then started doing shows with Tragedy/Kadafi and Cormega and getting radio play on Marley Marl and Pete Rock show He did a song with Kamikaze and Cormega called “Doing real Things”. Around 1998 B.I/Tremayne met a female named Nita/China White they became a group and were coming out by the names of Bonnie and Clyde China was supposed to sign with Foxy Brown but there was some kind of conflict between the females which stopped them from being closer in the industry. Now living in Brooklyn, Black Ice spends all of his time writing and practicing for that day when he gets signed. You can hear the rest of the story in the songs.
