The era in which Deborah lived looks a lot like the times
in which we live - idolatry, broken homes, moral decline, wickedness
in leadership in the church and in the government and terrorism.
The kingdom of God is suffering violence and God is calling
on His people - His church - to get violently involved in the war.
What are we commissioned to do? We are called to not only enlist but
to get involved in the battle. What are our weapons? Unlike the army
that Deborah led, God is not calling us to fight with physical weapons.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are spiritual. We must use our sword, which is the Word of God, to build our faith that we can win the war. We must use fasting to position ourselves to defeat the enemy. We must use prayer, our offensive weapon, to bring about the victory.
What time is it? It's time to grid up our loins, strap on our weapons and march into battle. Like Esther, we have come into the Kingdom for such a time as this. The spirit of Deborah is in the earth - the spirit of courage, faith and obedience, the spirit of victory. Are you willing to fight?
