on a quest for the sexiest flapjack

About Me

I'm Lisa, sometimes masquerading under the name livmachine. I was conceived in a prefab in Frenchay, I'm glad that post-war housing played a part in helping my parents make me. My first business enterprise was making Union Jack flags for the Queen's Silver Jubilee, I made about 15p. This was also my last business enterprise. When I was 15 years old I was an extra in a BBC drama called Fighting Back, but never made it to screen to my relief. I appeared in low budget video nasty The Vacuum Cleaner (made by my brother and his mates), I played the landlady and had the life sucked out of me by the evil aforementioned vacuum cleaner. I always wanted to be a graphic designer and studied at Salisbury College of Art. I toyed with the idea of being in a band in the 90s, then I realised that the Chris Lowe to my Neil Tennant really did expect me to write the songs, the music and play all the instruments. I once showed some of my lyrics to a bloke who vaguely knew Massive Attack or Portishead, I can't remember now. After a while in the design game I gravitated towards the world of publishing where I still reside.
