B grew up in Concord/Pittsburg, Ca. Always been in love with music, there was a stereo on in every room of the house. His mother, Cathi played the biggest role in molding him into what he is today. Being his mother, best friend and biggest fan and support, she is the biggest reason why B is where he is today. July 27th, 2004, B's mother passed away due to cancer. It was a big loss in B's life as well as his music. He started spending more time on the streets involved in illegal activities, and less time in the studio recording. In 2005, B hooked up with producer & engineer, Bennie Owens. The two worked together towards his self-titled album "Yung B". B then saved up from CD sales, and started purchasing studio equiptment.
