School of Rock was established in Sydney in 2002The idea is goal-based learning-Face it- you are more likely to learn how to play your instrument if you play it in combination with other people, on stage, at a big show. We're not talking practising boring scales in your bedroom, (although you will have to practise) or playing 'Greensleeves' over and over, we're talking a big rock show- and you're one of the stars.You'll also learn more efficiently if you're worried about making a fool of yourself in front of 500 people than about making a fool out of yourself alone in your bedroom.
