Band Members: I am only one
Influences: the list goes on and on and on. I grew up listening to a lot of mainstream music. I remember playing in a band in college and a band member said of me, "He IS Brian Adams!" And then grunge came along. I wanted to be a Christian version of Kurt Cobain. After all isn't being a Christian very counter culture anyway? I've always loved music from the '50's as a child. Dad had a stack of hits on LP and I'd sit and listen. Mom would burst in and say, "David, are you okay? You are being so quite!" The music from the '70's reminds me of my childhood and I'll always love it for that reason. Fleetwood Mac, Lynard Skynard, Boston, REO Speedwagon, you get the picture. When I got old enough to drive and work I bought a lot of Christian "tapes" ( these where things called cassettes in those days) I bought every album Petra had. Amy Grant and I used to sing duets together all the time! Don Francisco, Russ Taff, Degarmo and Key. As I got out and started playing in bands, the bands I was in started to influence my likes and dislikes in music. I'd say that pretty much raps it up sports fans.
