I am mainly thinking about writing these days and that is also my favourite thing to be getting on with. I have been writing new short stories and have begun keeping a diary. We have recently got the old sega mechiene down from its hiding place in the loft, I have been a playing all the old fashioned games on it. I have been also reading a lot more than usual. I am very interested in comedy and like to make people laugh, although this is not always easy for me. I am very interested in selling on ebay and making a little extra spare cash. All for my uni fund you understand.
I feel quite happy with knowing who I know right now, I am not really yearning to meet anyone who is still alive. I can think of a few people who are dead like MICHEAL PATRICK SMITH he faught for the equal rights of disabled people in the US and I feel the same thing needs doing here in the UK. This is another ambition of mine, to become a political activist, but lets go with one thing at a time first.
Another person who I think was incredable was VIRGINIA WOOLF I have only read two of her books because they are so difficult for me to get my head round, but she is definatly someone who inspired me to write. There were lots of things and people, but she is one of them.
I would also have liked to meet JUDY GARLAND because I think she was incredable to live until she was 47 with the amount of abuse she suffered.
Recently I have started to get myself into Queen and I am going to see Liza Minnelli, KD Lang and Elton John in concert this year. A few of my other favourite are Judy Garland, Melissa Etheridge, Natalie Imbruglia, Duffy and Shania Twain.
I am not into films like I used to be, I still like things I can laugh at and I like serious dramas too. These often can be portrayed better on a film than in a book. I still like the Hours, I have gone off musicals a bit but still like things like Cabaret, don't like things such as the Sound of Music because I prefer to see a reason for the singing. I still like funny films such as The Life of Brian and Noises Off.
I like to watch programmes about food and diets because I they are funny. I love sitcoms and stand-up comedy too. American sitcoms are the best because they seem a little removed from the reality of British Life - so it's not too depressing. My favourite comediennes are Roseanne Barr and Ellen Degeneres.
I like reading other peoples autobigographies and they don't necessarily have to be of famous people. I currently have two Marian Keyes books that I can't wait to get on with and am reading My Father's Keeper at the moment. I need to buff up my reading habits before I begin this writing course because good writers are always well read. I nearly forgot I do still want to read Salt and Honey too.Carrie Fisher-
The people I mentioneed in the who I would like to meet section, my nan, who helped make me the person I am today and Candi Miller for taking an inrtrest in a pathetic cripple's ambitions.
