About Me

Blah blah blah blah. I've travelled quite a bit and lived elsewhere in the world, and have returned to my 'roots' for a while, until I head back overseas. Life SHOULD be an adventure--I find that people who live their entire lives in the town they grew up in tend to be boring people. Seeing my hometown again as an adult, I realize it feels very small, and I can never 'go back'; it'll never be home like it once was.

My Interests

Good beer. Good wine. I love good cuisine from all over the world and can't understand how most Americans settle for bland, uninspiring "food". Italian, French, German and English football... Juventus supporter, OF COURSE.I love travelling. I write a fair bit, although my skills aren't what they used to be... re-honing them has proven to be quite difficult.

I'd like to meet:

Vincent Cassel.Nigella Lawson.Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore (although preferably not in the same room--they'd never stand for it)Fabien Barthez.Peetahh Jehkssun.Jeff Goldblum.EBJ.John Saxon. The entire current Juventus roster.

Music:

Lots of stuff. Just no cookie-cutter pop music!

Movies:

The Godfather. I and II, mind you, not the 3rd. Enter the Dragon. I liked La Haine. Dobermann as well. Nanni Moretti makes some funny pictures. Satyricon was rather disturbing. The 7 Samurai is great when one's in the mood for Sunday afternoon heroics. Escape from Alcatraz is the best prison break movie you could hope to see. Being part Swedish, I'm genetically drawn to Bergman like a moth to his black and white flame. Sometimes he just makes me laugh, though. "I am Death." The Lost Boys has aged really well. Okay, it hasn't really, but it's fun. Munich is no longer the last movie I've seen, although it remains a good one.

Television:

Louis Theroux and Cash Peters, Sopranos, Hell's Kitchen, Shark Week, Little Britain, One Foot In the Grave, Blackadder, Are You Being Served?, Lovejoy, Cadfael, the original Tom and Jerry wherein they beat the fuck out of one another, Grafters

Books:

I read a lot of European history. Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fang. Tolkien's works. Ian Gillan's autobiography.

Heroes:

Tolkien, Ian Gillan, the long-suffering Richard Bucket, Bruce Lee, any member of Juventus, Peter Jackson, Christopher Lee, Feyos, The Captain, John Saxon
