I'd like to meet:
A Talented Luthier
The mysterious and apparently invisible instrument called ZynAddSubFX
A fresh set of RotoSound Blue strings - no really it's not to go with the colour scheme, they just sound right
Anyone who isn't my owner. The idiot chipped my paint again today
Music:
These days my owner mostly hides in a corner with a computer and plays trad goth too much. He's trying to do some kind of doomy pseudo-industrial stuff with strong influences from miserable mumblers that aren't goth at all
My owner spent a long time trying to put together some kind of punk/metal thing with Slayer Boy and had lots of fun with the rotating door style lineup. For some reason it never really occurred to him to write in the styles he'd been listing to and looking like for so long, but then some would say that no two members of the band could agree on whether they liked anything they did. At least he finally gor round to finishing my mods. Out with the middle pickup that was almost never used, out with the horrible fender switch, and in with a new scratch plate, and gibson-style switching. Oh and in with the single pickup blonde that was less prone to beer damage.
Working with Jayde Ferral et al. my owner had an attempt at playing lead in some kind of contemporary metal band, but then contemporary to 2003 was an ugly, ugly place for music. My owner also continued his affair with Freddie the bass doing some kind of inide/new wave thing that never went anywhere. It was about this time I aquired more scarification
At some point my owner discovered NWOBHM, particularly Maiden, Priest (and he suggests that a comment about 'were the gods that we praised' go in here, but sum 41 was a passing phase). It was during this time that I had my first round of really extensive modifications done. I got an Invader in the bridge position for a powerful rythm sound, HotRails in the neck for the Maiden sound, new Frets, a ton of graphteq parts, and some scarification. Oh and for a while I ran a Brandoni JB in the bridge for a more british metal rhythm sound
My owner hit the Grunge phase due to no-one ever telling Doncaster that Grunge was deader than the boringness level of a Kobain Conspiracy theorist. Perl Jam was a favorite for a while. But then so was Freddie. How dare he cheat on me with a four-string! I will not dignify his attire with comment.
A very long time ago my owner would play his way through the complete works of Green Day on me. Lots of Bowling for Soup, Blink 182, Therapy, Papa Roach, Ash, NoFX, LTJ, Limpin Part, Limp $hit$tik.... You can tell the ones he grew out of rather quickly
