Japanese melodic Metal act DEAD END, founded in 1984, made some headway outside of their native land courtesy of America's Metal Blade label who would issue a brace of the band's albums for Western Consumption. The line up for the inaugural Japanese released 1986 effort 'Deadline' comprised of ex. LIAR vocalist Motoyuki 'Morrie' Ohtsuka, guitarists Takahiro and erstwhile SWAT and TERRA ROSA man Yuji 'You' Adachi, former RAJAS bass player Tadashi 'Crazy Cool Joe' Masumoto and ex-TERRA ROSA drummer Masaaki Tano.

1987's 'Ghost Of Romance' followed in 1987, released in Japan by Victor Invitation and in January of 1988 by Metal Blade for America. For this record DEAD END trimmed down to a quartet losing both Takahiro and Tano and pulling in former SABER TIGER drummer Masafumi Minato. Japanese CD editions included an extra track 'Decoy'. DEAD END's line up would remain stable for 1988's 'Shambara'.

After their last live in January of 1990, drummer Masafumi Minato left DEAD END and became to a great support-musician in recording-fields. Just before the release of the double live album DEAD END folded, guitarist Yuji 'You' Adachi later resurfaced in PHYSICAL ISLAND whilst the DEAD END credited bassist Tadashi 'Crazy Cool Joe' Masumoto emerged as a member of GROOVE MASTER. Their Christlike vocalist Motoyuki 'Morrie' Ohtsuka also began his solo-works.

Yuji 'You' Adachi came back to the stage in 2004, as the support guitarist of Ryuichi Kawamura's back band. Motoyuki 'Morrie' Ohtsuka also broke the silence to be a guest musician in Kiyoharu's album 'poetry'. In 2005, BMG released DEAD END fans' best selection-album 'Infinity'(CD+DVD) and Motoyuki 'Morrie' Ohtsuka's best selection-album 'Ectoplasm'. Yuji 'You' Adachi's 2nd solo album 'You's alien' also came out in summer. In the end of the year, Motoyuki 'Morrie' Ohtsuka appeard on the stage of DANGER CRUE, 'Morrie is back!'.

During 2006, Motoyuki 'Morrie' Ohtsuka's new project Creature Creature released 3 singles and 1 album while Yuji 'You' Adachi is active in various kinds of live-shows. Yuji 'You' Adachi, Masafumi Minato& Tadashi 'Crazy Cool Joe' Masumoto also joined the recording work of Creature Creature.
