PLEASE HELP TO SAVE THE USS SPHINX!! She served her country from Pearl Harbor WWII through the A Bomb tests at Bikini. Her service also included Korea and Vietnam. The SS SPHINX is the only remaining LST. Don't let her become scrap metal!! That would be unfair to all those men who served on her--the list of veterans includes my uncle who served aboard her during WWII.All that is necessary is transportation to Dunkirk, New York. Veterans and historians have already prepared a place of honor for her. She will be part of a museum in a perfect location.
