A Formal Apology,
I have, over the countless years, separated myself from the people who have guided me and supported me and comforted me and provided for me. I have achieved the ridiculous mark of maturity in my own mind as being a cognizant individual who is capable of determining their own thoughts and destiny. With that aspect of my own mind, I have seen myself on the cusp of social change. I am no reminiscent aspect of the "drug-crazed" generation that proceeded me. No matter what you will label me, I am not a liberal. I am not a conservative.I form my own opinion. I am a real-life human being. I have been influenced by all sides. I watch CSNBC as much as I watch FOX. I have, in my short life, seen political power seemingly struggling over the concept of democracy. While we battle a definition here in the United Sates, our government believes that It has not only defined democracy, but has the ability to impose it upon any place on the earth. I love all of you. I know that my thoughts
cause anger in you. Is it not, at least odd, that we attacked a country that had nothing to do with the attacks on 9-11. That we attacked a country that held the second-largest oil potential on the entire planet? That the administration who lied to congress and the American people were both in fact, oil-men. Bush who was tied to oil and defense companies his entire life and Cheney who is still receiving compensation from Halliburton? Companies who experience fruitful profit every time a pipeline is blown up? Companies who are, by extension, now receiving record-breaking profits? These people thrive on the destruction of the Iraqi pipeline. They want it to last as long as possible. They jack the prices of gasoline and call it a price of the war on terror. You are being played upon. While fundamental aspects of extreme ideals of capitalism and the definition are being under the srunity of legislation and law, you are red-herring-ed into talking about ideals of christian
fundamentalism. Same-sex marriages and abortion. Stem-cell research. Christianity has been a calling-card for decency and ethics. It has become the national pastime in making appropriate judgment. You've been hoodwinked. You've been had. You've been took. You've been led astray, led amok. You've been bamboozled. I have a list of very colorful paintings filled with "the lord Jesus" planting crowns on dictators and pulling robes over the shoulders of tyrants. Believe what you will. Because obviously you are going to do that anyway. I speak nothing poorly about our soldiers. They are braver than I have ever been. They have also been sent to death for economic returns on companies that feel free to gouge us unmercifully. May the lord have mercy on our national soul.
