About Me

I'm a buyer for a nationwide chain of adult bookstores, so I've been exposed to things that most people only ponder. In fact, what I haven't done, seen, or heard about, I simply don't want to know.

My Interests

I enjoy drawing, mostly anime, old school Shaw Brothers films, and getting people to talk about things that they usually wouldn't, taking them out of their comfort zone.

Bringing in 2007 just right

Takashi Miike, Timothy Leary (in another state of mind, of course), Alejandro Jodorowsky, the Shaw Brothers, and myself, if I could ever find me.

Music:

I was born and raised in the Detroit area, so I have learned to appreciate styles from straight edge punk to hardcore rap, and everything in between, minus country, of course. Whether it be MDC(Millions of Dead Cops), The Ghetto Boys, or Estradasphere, I'm fully content.

Movies:

Almost any, though not restricted to, asian cinema, with emphasis on flicks like the Zatoichi series, Visitor Q, and Versus.

I'm a full on fan of Lau Kar Fai, who most may know as Pai Mai from Kill Bill 2, and have a bunch of memorabilia from his 1980's Hong Kong movies.

In general, I like flicks that make me feel like I'm on an acid trip, like Holy Mountain, hallucinations optional.

Television:

Not much, although I must admit, I thoroughly groove on programs that deal with forenzics, such as FBI case files, which all seem to be narrarated by the same guy. What a gig.

And when I want to shut my brain down, I find myself either watching pro wrestling or Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network.

Books:

Slaughter House Five, The Morte D'Arthur, the entire Sharpe's, and most anything by Nathanal Hawthorne.

Just got back from the lingerie convention in Las Vegas. Sometimes, life is just too tough.

Heroes:

Hero is a pretty strong word. I can't think of any offhand, but I'll definately tip my hat to anyone who perverbially gets kicked in the teeth and has the gumption to get back up, regardless of the situation.
