Carmen started out her career as a dancer/ singer at a very early age performing in all kinds of competitions & shows. She is very skilled in many different styles of dance including ballet, national, Greek, character, tap, modern, and song and dance. As Carmen developed as a performer she decided to take a new direction and became more involved in the acting side of the industry. She had lead roles in Jesus Christ Superstar, Villamosa, & played the role of Sally in "Me & My Girl" & choreographed the entire show. She obtained her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts in 2002 where she learnt new skills which covered the technical aspect of the industry which then enabled her to choose the avenue she wished to pursue. For the last 4 years Carmen has been a dance teacher, teaching children from the ages of 4 to 18. Recently Carmen teamed up with singer/songwriter Danielle Hicks and combined there skills to form the group Sweet Candy.
Danielle obtained her BA (Honours) 2002 in Theatre/ Performing Arts & Multi Media. Throughout her studies she was often involved in many professional productions outside of her University. Danielle wanted to get into song writing & learn how to write and produce her own music. She went over to Spain in search of work & finding music producers who could take her career to the next level. In Spain she met producer Franklyn Hall (aka MR DB), a music producer looking for vocalists to take his own project to the next level. Danielle worked with Franky under independent record label Unique Records. She recorded 4 songs for his 1st album; “Metamorphosisâ€. The pair toured Malaga & surrounding areas in Spain. Due to the feedback from the tour and the album, once released, Danielle was signed to work with Unique.
