i dont like Myspace anymore.... tom deleted my profile, what a hater...At an early age, Rolo was influenced by groups such as RUN DMC, Eric B & Rakim, 2Pac, N.W.A., Notorious B.I.G. Kool G Rap etc...Drawing upon his vast array of music appreciation, Rolo refined his skills and developed a unique style of rapping. On the microphone, he reveals a distinct understanding of the world around him, and always applies a gutter edge to his lyrics. His appeal is broad, and it attracts listeners from the underground to mainstream fans. When he was 15 years old, Rolo started emceeing with local Dj’s at college parties. At the age of 16, he also rapped on the college radio station KDVS 90.3 fm at UC Davis. Rolo moved out of his home at 17 years of age to pursue his musical career. He’s been supporting himself ever since. Rolo was introduced to Dj Tyrant, the host of a Hiphop show at KDVS 90.3 FM. Through numerous appearances on KDVS, Rolo grew familiar with the Davis and Sacramento Hiphop scene. The connections led to an association with the Jaded Emcees. In 2000, Rolo moved to San Francisco. He took the city by storm and won numerous freestyle battles in the Bay Area. Shortly thereafter, Rolo and Filthy Clean began hosting a Hiphop show at San Francisco State University. Rolo has won numerous emcee battles throughout the Sacramento/San Francisco Bay Area. These include the 1st annual T.K.O. Emcee Battle held at the Hush Hush in San Francisco, CA in June of 2003, as well as the Peace of Mind 2 held at Imusicast in Oakland, CA in March of 2003. His uncanny freestyling abilities continue to astonish fans and intimidate his competitors. Rolo has performed with Xzibit, Dj Shadow, Mistah F.A.B., Del the Funky Homosapien, The Living Legends, Atmosphere, Eyedea and Dj Abilities,Visionaries, 2Mex and Busdriver, members of Souls of Mischief and Hieroglyphics, Zion I, members of Spearhead, O.G. Volume 10, Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, and P.E.A.C.E. from Freestyle Fellowship, The Cuf, and Plan B. Through his work with the SBC Dj's, Dj Escobar, he has done shows with Outkast, Beanie Siegal, The Clipse, Jin, Ray Luv, and Mistic Roots. Rolo is currently living in Los Angeles working on his official debut album "The Campaign" wich is schedualed for realease in May.With almost full production coming from the "already sold Gold, soon to be multi- platinum" to "The Grammy Award winning" production team working at The Top Floor Studios, this is guaranteed to be an amazing album.His intelligence and roaring intensity at live shows distinguishes Rolo from all other acts. He consistently ignite's crowds with witty metaphors and intricate word play related to a multitude of topics. Already boasting of songs such as Dont wanna stay, Bout my dough, Real hollywood, and I want it all "The Campaign" is destined to be a classic placing Rolo on a pedastool amongst the greatest legends in the history of music, let alone hiphop...
