H-TOWN SKYLINE...Well, besides film and music, I've always been into comic books, Sci-fi and Crime fiction literature. I'm a big Frank Miller, Mike Mignola, Sam Keith, Neil Gaimen, Harlen Ellison, Andrew Vachss, Joe Lansdale, James Ellroy fan among others. Okay, so I'm a big nerd! I don't care what anybody says. That's just me. Take it or leave it. I know there is somebody out there that will appreciate it. :0P Oh, yeah, I'm not really into sports but I've been known to sit through a baseball game from time to time. I've always loved FUTBOL, or soccer. I'm Colombian so it kind of comes with the territory, doesn't it? Anyway, I also love my cartoons too. Family Guy is the funniest shit ever! South Park, too. Ren and Stimpy and Invader Zim were classics. Speaking of classics...u cant forget Looney Tunes cartoons from the 30's-50's. They dont make them like that anymore.

I usually don't like major Hollywood movies because they are usually uninspired pieces of garbage. There are only a handful of filmmakers working in the Hollywood system that actually have talent such as, Chris Nolan, Wes Anderson, Peter Weir, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, Guillermo Del Toro, The Coen Bros. Paul T. Anderson and Micheal Mann to name a few. Lucas needed to put his ego aside and hire a writer, Rodriguez needs to do the same, Scorcese still does a decent job, Coppola is washed up, De Palma is always hit or miss(mostly miss)and SPIELBERG IS OVER-RATED!!! EVERYONE PLEASE GET OFF HIS DICK ALREADY!!!

I AM LEGEND: The Richard Matheson horror masterpiece. They have made it into a movie twice already and they haven't got it right, yet. Fuckers! Okay, THREE times now! Will Smith??? BASTARDS!
THE LONG GOODBYE: Raymond Chandler's last novel. Robert Altman(R.I.P.)made it into a movie in the early 70's. It was "artistic", but that's not what it was meant to be.
WHITE JAZZ: The last book of James Ellory's L.A. Quartet. Kick ass from start to finish. Nobody has tried making that one into a movie, thank god. They did make L.A. CONFIDENTIAL, one if the books in the Quartet, into a movie. That one kicked ass! Thank you Curtis Hanson. You're the man! Hanson went on to direct, Eight Mile. Interesting.
THE BLACK DAHLIA: Another James Ellroy book, based on a true story, was finally made into a movie and DAMN YOU De Palma and what's his face who adapted it into a screenplay!!! YOU MESSED IT UP!!! >:0( DARKER BLUE wasnt a book but it was adapted from an Ellroy story and writer/director Ron Shelton did a pretty good job with that one! Anything by Andrew Vachss or Joe R. Lansdale. Sci-Fi: Robert Heinlein(Starship Troopers), Allen Steele(Rude Astronauts), Robert Sheckley(Untouched By Human Hands)and Ray Bradbury(The Halloween Tree)to name a few. Dramatic fiction: Kingsley and Martin Amis, Raymond Carver, Charles Bukowski and Fay Weldon to name a few.
