This training ground inspires their songs, pushing voices to new heights, while stirring emotional earth shattering soul, that usually win audiences over. York, Pennsylvania native Eddie Kane, son of a minister, graduated from its educational pews, singing in the choir since the tender age of six. Eddie Kane always knew he wanted to be a star. Being one of fifteen kids, Eddie Kane mastered the ability to stand out in a crowd. His smooth blend of hip-hop and r&b, reminiscent of old soul, but infused with a vibrant tell it like it is attitude, clearly shows why Eddie Kane's star is sure to shine.
A hard worker who consistently perfects his craft, Eddie Kane has been practicing for greatness from a young age. He joined a group named Four Piece, at age eleven. Four Piece which started out as a dance group, won second place on ShowTime at the Apollo and BET's Video Soul talent contest. Not only is Eddie Kane a skillful singer, weaving stories that play like Broadway dramas, but he is also a naturally talented dancing machine. He vows to come with a new style of dancing that is sure to get feet moving.
His infectious personality has already won over fans. Eddie Kane met Jazz from Dru Hill, while singing acapella at Baltimore's harbor. Jazz instantly impressed by his talents, took the young singer under his wing, investing seven years, grooming him for music stardom, teaching him to use his voice and breathe correctly. Now Eddie Kane is ready to share with the world the raw talent that made Jazz a believer. Besides singing, Eddie Kane would also love to produce and write, playing a major role behind the scenes.Eddie Kane who draws his inspiration from Stevie Wonder, Bilal, and Jazz from Dru Hill, is no stranger to rugged street life. Although deeply rooted in the church, the streets were his reality. Eddie Kane's debut album explores growing up tough in the streets, overcoming adversity and real life experiences. "When fans listen to my album their gonna be able to relate to me," says Eddie Kane. He talks about friends he's lost, growing up, and finding his strength in the church. "Out of everything I do, I keep God first," declares Eddie Kane.
The fun loving singer carries York, Pennsylvania on his back. As a local celebrity, he encourages other artist trying to make it in the music industry. He hopes to bring attention to the area which he believes is bursting with local talent. Until then, Eddie Kane take on the role of ambassador, imparting the knowledge he learned growing up in York through the gift of song.
