Sean Johnson (also known as Sean Dizzyfunk) has been a DJ since the late 80s when he started out playing 80s Soul, Funk and Disco at college parties and local clubs. As House music evolved Sean developed his style and through the 90s secured a number of residencies and regular appearances at clubs throughout the UK appearing alongside likes of Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson, Alistair Whitehead and Lisa Loud.
In 2001, inspired by free party sound systems Smokescreen, Diy and Hanky Panky, he got together with some like-minded DJs forming the Dizzy Funk Soundsystem . The collective has put on some memorable club nights and outdoor parties with Sean playing alongside such DJs as Inland Knights, Digs & Woosh, The Littlemen and Da Sunlounge.
Following on from a couple of self-distributed, white labels in the mid-90s, Sean is back in the studio making music that reflects his DJ style - deep, funky, disco-influenced House music. Watch this space!
