On the Grind like Starbucks

About Me

We moved around a lot growing up. But the first place I remember settling down was on the eastcoast (CT, NY) area. My pops was on the west coast and I grew up with moms, sisters, cousins uncles etc. There was really nothing to do in Hartford, cept bang and paint. I still remember my first wall. I had a 7-letter name.. It took like 2 hours to do a throw-up. lol And after years of that shit, moms got fed up, and told that I had to move with my pops in California.
Moved out here with a fucked up attitude, and put my dad through hell. But Im glad my mom sent me out here. I found my escape, Painting. The painting scene out here was different than back home. It seems all open out here, back home everything is impacted. Like 2 million people live on one block. lol You think Im lying.. we have pro-jects! lol Out here even most poverty stricken people own houses.
So back in the mid 90's, I started painting pretty hard. I would just hop on my skate with my backpack.. meet the Homies at H St. Trolley and get spots all day and night. I remember whenever I had $5, I could either get food, or 2 krylons at Sears, in the Chula Vista mall. Which did I get?? I starved.
After painting for years, I wanted to expand my elements, and at the time I was doing karate, and I was good shape, so I would go to the Homie Sunk-Rocs house, and dance with them. After that, we had a vouple of DJ's on our staff, and they started burning me Hip Hop CD's. At the time, I only listened to rock (it was sorta my rebellious side being unleashed). Mainly the homie Gods, burned me a gang of Hip Hop CDs, and I started putting words together in the shower, while skating down the street, then all the time. He made me a few beats, and rhyming. Been doing it since..
Thats the short version... The long version is on the cd. lolRespect.:
