We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

About Me

I'm a disgruntled artist type working nine to five until I get discovered.I'm a Southerner transplanted to Jersey. Everyone's gotta do something stupid for love once in their lives, right? It was worth it.I'm a little cranky, a little silly, sometimes smart, sometimes a raving ditz. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I'm lost. I'm in love, thrilled, pissed off, edgy, laid back, kindhearted and anti-social. I'm excited about the journey, scared of the destination, not so different from everyone else and totally unique... Back later with further developments...So many things to do...

Your emotions aren't always stable, but you can go along with the ups and downs pretty well.
You tend to be motivated, energetic, focused, and level headed.
You see the world pretty rationally, and you don't tend to over dramatize things. When things are bad, you know they eventually have to get better. What's Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient)?

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

My Interests

I make beaded jewelry, oil pastel drawings, collages, write poetry. Love to cook. Love to read. Love listening to music, tho I'm at a loss as to how to create it.

I'd like to meet:

Most of the people I'd like to meet are dead. I was fortunate enough to shake hands with Abbie Hoffman and tell him how much I respected and admired him before he passed away. That was good. And I got to tell Mike Cross that I grew up listening to his music. He apologized but said I seemed to have turned out ok all the same. I like to meet people who don't understand why anyone would want to meet them.

Music:

Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Southern Culture on the Skids, Mike Cross, Rolling Stones (the older the better), Janis Joplin, anything with heart and soul. I don't care for much of what gets played on regular radio these days. It's empty.

Movies:

Breakfast at Tiffany's, Alice's Restaurant, Saw, Amityville Horror (the original), The Exorcist, Singing in the Rain, Funny Face, se7en, Clerks, Basquiat, Star Wars (not the crappy prequels), Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (a 1972 live action version with Peter Sellers as the best March Hare you ever saw.)

Television:

The Simpsons, Southpark, Survivor, CSI. I watch a lot of Discovery Channel, especially Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs. I love Mike Rowe. I watch more of the military channel than is probably right for a decent goddess fearing hippy but the blowing shit up parts are cool.

Books:

poetry by e.e. cummings and Nikki Giovanni. To America With Love by Abby and Anita Hoffman. Most Terry Pratchett. James Herriot. Cookbooks that tell the stories of the cooks. Alice B. Toklas ROCKS and not just for the brownies. Right this moment, I'm really loving The Meaning of Night by Michael Cox.

Heroes:

e.e. cummings - he new all the rules and broke them perfectly. Bob Dylan - he sings joyful angry revolution songs. Bill Hicks - a true visionary who left us too early with too much unsaid. Helen Keller found the light of hope in the deepest darkness. There are so many people who have done things that are worthy of admiration, and so many yet to come.

Well, he did it

Day 1: I didn't think I'd make up my mind so quickly. I thought the race was wide open and I wanted to hear what everyone had to say before I decided. I'm a life-long democrat and a hippy at heart, b...

Pay the Piper

The town darkens and the lighthouse beacon glows faintly through the bilious fog. The usual soft rustling in the alleyways is stilled. The rats have gone. Echoing down the empty street the s...

Love Poem

My love blossoms each day, more, like eternal flowers. Thoughts of you hang in my mind like honeysuckle on springtime breezes. As the green buds unfurl each day around us I try to imagine my life with...

The Voices Rise

The voices rise like the echo of a roll of thunder down city streets and up the walls of the mountain valleys, beyond the peaks to the stars. Listen to the thunderclap of Truth. No more regression, su...
