The Myspace Book of Poetry Volume One

About Me

I had this crazy idea to contact 50 poets who post on Myspace and ask them each to select one poem, by themselves or by someone else, that they love. I also asked them to write a little bit about why the poem is special to them. The idea is them to use this profile as a Myspace e-book. It will just have the 50 blogs. They will be here for you to come back to whenever you want.If this works and that has yet to be seen, then I will encourage Myspace to sponsor the publication of this as a book with all profits to charity.I love Myspace. I love the rich diversity of poetry published here. I love the fact that it is ordinary people who are just starting to write mixing with experienced poets who have been published in print. I love that more poetry is read here than is sold in all the dusty bookshops in the UK each day.I believe something special is happening and I want to do something to help draw some of the threads together.Si
