Im Matt Burnside. I play music all the time from hitting stuff in my pockets with my hands to recording using synth's, guitars and shed loads of effects. I love it all. In 2006 i made the big decision of becoming a solo artist after the downfall of many bands before, since then i have concentrated most of my time in to acoustic music but also for CD and internet downloads i have also recorded many other types, styles genres, what ever you want to call them.
As well as recording im usually out and about playing gigs where ever and when ever i can get them i love to make people smile through music and take a certain pride in making a gig a laugh and relaxing rather than serious and up tight. Where all there to have fun right? So yeah catch me at a gig some time or see me on the streets busking on my days off from the office and come say hi i would love to meet all of you!
2008 - The Year Of Practice
Ok so this year camp Burnside has been somewhat dead. Why? Well its basically because i have been totally and utterly bone idle and spent way too much time perfecting snippets of recordings that to be quite frank were fine. I suppose now im kind of realising i could be on to CD 3. had i just stuck the songs on a CD and not worried so much about how they sounded.......
Anyhow things are changing as well as being totally idle i also started some guitar lessons this year and have also been practicing my technique and studying my theory a hell of a lot........
INSTRUMENTAL ALERT
Yeah thats right this year or early next year i will be releasing a fully instrumental CD along with a big amount of gigs to play the stuff live. Genres have been thrown away once again so expect some suprises and some really refreshing sounds from my entire new rig. I have the drummer on stand by and were ready to rock!
