Bright-ening the world, of course...
Murphy the law-bringer and torture him forever on (and on...) As a general rule, I do meet everyone I'd really like to meet (unfortunately, among others that I definitely wouldn't like), but this guy so far manages to keep one step ahead. I am always at his heels though, I sense his presence, I smell his odor, so sooner or later, I'll get to him...
Someday, I'd also like to meet St Peter in Paradise (in fact, I hope to find Vincent Price there, too) -well, since I've already met the devil on Earth, sounds fair enough, doesn't it?...
Speaking of the devil, and as this still seems too short for an answer, I've decided to simply add some of those I may think I'd like to meet. Starting with...

The lady on the left of course, Monica indeed. The best succubic she-vamp Hollywood has ever produced.
(...And to think that the lucky bastard was but another Jonathan!...)

The model posing on the cover of The Damned 'Phantasmagoria' album and the single... 'The Shadow (!) of Love' (Bob Carlos Clarke's immortal 'Dream Keaper')
On second thought, I'd like to have met her... 20 years ago.

Now, since due to the gothic style, I tend to look kind of the 'western' type, I guess I should learn how to ride. So I would need an expert teacher to guide me through my first steps. That's how Jennifer comes up. (Oh, and how perfectly she qualifies!...)

Lastly (and to withdraw once and for all the suspicion that there's some kind of a meme program producing a certain female form to obsess my brains), I confess... It did cross my mind to include in the list that blond talented actress starring in the acclaimed horror movie 'Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain', but I gather she's a bit too much used for my taste. Still, one has to be honest, she does have such a beautiful hair, doesn't she?...
Normally, at this point, Jenna's blinking banner would appear, but lately the link is not working, so instead, you will now be getting images from Jenna's stunning new project:
I think it is more than obvious now how jealous Mrs Jameson must have been of... my title! (Hey, why don't I get to publish a bloody 'Shadow-Hunter' comic?...)--------------------------------------------------

Now, it may look to you that I'm just about one single step from the pit. Thankfully though there's that old, almost ancient, illuminating line that comes to remind the source of the trouble, of how it all had started... "The Sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose." (-Genesis 6:2).
So in a final effort to evade this succumbing fate, I turn my back to those mystical traditions that claim that the 'hidden eye' lies in the female womb and awakens during the time of catamenia, and resist that step by publicly stating that my interest in the beautiful daughters of men is 'purely artistic' (-Art being the medium to communicate 'God'). And thus, I hope, I may still get away with my dignity full and the soul intact. And may even get to meet Vincent Price one day...

Gothic Rock, electrogoth, a selective bit of postpunk + dark ebm, anything Celtic + much of film music (James Horner, Christopher Young, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, etc...). See across for a Gothic Playlist sample...
You may also wish to peek through my selection of nice music videos (check My favorite videos) and a Gothic video playlist in my Blogs section, which will be updated from time to time... In the same section you will also find a (rather peculiar) photo-review of the memorable Fields of the Nephilim gig at Astoria (May 24th, 2007), where I had the luck to be present. This year it is the Nephs that are coming to Athens, two more great nights to enjoy...

Gothic oldies (like Hammer and American International Films), Gothic newbies (from atmospheric thrillers like 'The Others' to the neo-goth vampire vs werewolf style cult series, i.e. 'Underworld', 'Nightwatch', etc) and generally supernatural, mystery, horror -although not much of a splatters fan. I always thought that the ultimate expression of the fear and horror of death is not that of the flesh rotting or being torn apart and ripped to the bone (this even a plain nurse, sooner or later, learns to deal with), but a total strip down to nothingness, the true inexistence. This is why, but for a few exceptions, I'm not particularly interested in the Italian school chillers...
My top favorite film: Ingmar Bergman's 'The Seventh Seal'...
And for my second favorite rank Corman's 1964 adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Masque of the Red Death',and the screen adaptation of Umberto Eco's 'The Name of the Rose'.But my favorite scene arguably comes from Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', another much beloved movie. Here goes...
Only good as a screen -apart from the live discussion shows in which occasionally I'm invited, that is...(lol)
The interesting series, such as 'Supernatural', 'The Ghost Whisperer', etc, we don't really get to watch on the local network, so we have to wait for the dvd release.
Gothic literature, macabre, mythology, archeology, folklore, religion, occult, metaphysics and paranormal, psychology, science, books from any field that can help in my own research studies.(Yep, I'm a writer, too...)
Everyone who manages to be his own hero.
