Giancarlo Facchini (in arte DJ MOLLA) nasce il 25 settembre 1980 a Lovere (BG), ma risiede da sempre a Darfo Boario Terme (BS). Fin da bambino mostra una spiccata e animata passione per la musica avvicinandosi ai grandi compositori classici per poi ampliare il suo interesse anche verso altri generi musicali. All'eta' di quattordici anni comincia a crescere in lui l'amore per la musica "dance", la quale stimolera' il suo spirito creativo portandolo alla creazione delle sue prime basi ritmiche. Dj Molla cresce e comincia la sua esperienza come dj prima timidamente in alcuni pub della Vallecamonica, poi, via via, a livelli sempre piu' alti. L'inizio della sua carriera universitaria a Brescia, dove si e' laureato presso la facolta' di Ingegneria, lo porta a un salto di qualita', diventa infatti resident dj delle feste universitarie a Brescia e suona in diverse discoteche famose della citta' Tuttavia Dj Molla non dimentica le sue prime passioni musicali, il suo amore per la musica classica e acustica e arriva cosi', nell'inverno 2003, a collaborare con il Maestro Daniele Alberti (docente e pianista di fama Internazionale). La sua carriera di dj ormai sempre piu' in vista in tutta Brescia continua fruttuosamente portandolo a suonare in diversi locali e feste in Lombardia. Negli ultimi tempi inizia la collaborazione con Valerio Gaffurini (ex Aladino) che fruttera' diversi progetti musicali, fra i quali "I don't know". Il suo sogno di stampare un disco si realizza finalmente con questo progetto edito su etichetta ViolaPop con la quale esce anche il suo secondo singolo dal titolo "Iguana". Le collaborazioni intanto si fanno sempre piu' frequenti e cosi' nascono anche i progetti "Night People", "Th-etnical boys" e "Control C" con i quali Dj Molla si conferma non solo un Dj ma anche un produttore di ottimo livello.
Giancarlo Facchini (Dj Molla) was born in Lovere (in the province of Bergamo) the 25th September 1980, but he has been living in Darfo Boario Terme (Brescia) since all along.Since he was a child, he shows a strong and involving passion for music: he starts listening to the most popular classical composers and then spreading his interest also to some other different kinds of music.Once he became fourteen, Giancarlo understands his love for the dance music, which energizes his creative spirit and bring him through the creation of his first rhythmical bases.Dj Molla then grows up and starts his experience, his career: he first playing shyly in some little pubs in the Vallecamonica zone, for then joining some more and more aspired levels.Giancarlo decides to study Engineering at the University of Brescia, where he finally achieves his degree. Thanks to this choice he makes a further step into the world of dance music: in fact he becomes resident DJ’ at the University Parties around the city and he continues playing in its most famous discotheques.Even if he is gaining success, Dj Molla does not forget his routs, his love for classical and acoustic sounds. He is enthusiastic when, in winter 2003, the world wide famous teacher and pianist Mr Daniele Alberti asks Giancarlo to collaborate with him for an important project.Going back to his DJ’ career, this is continuously improving, and brings him playing through various parties and pubs spread around Lombardia.During these last years, he starts a good collaboration with Mr Valerio Gaffurini (ex “Aladino”) creating in this way some well done projects, among which we can remember “I don’t know”.Thanks to the above project, he realises his dream of issuing his own album published by “ViolaPop” label, which also edits his second and famous track “Iguana”.In this last period collaborations are becoming several and several and from these experiences some new projects (as “Night People”, “Th-etnical boys” and “Control-C”) are giving us the opportunity to understand Dj Molla’s attitude of being also a high quality producer.
