About Me

Look at me! I have a Myspace page that's ACTUALLY LEGIBLE, with the text in reasonable contrast to the subtle, non-intrusive background!

I cheerfully offend. I insist on pronouncing "gyro" as yee-ro, even when nobody knows what the hell I'm talking about when I order. I use big words unapologetically. I mix different sodas at the soda fountain. Sometimes I talk in a British accent for no particular reason.

My Interests

I like outdoor activities - canoeing/camping in the summer, skiing in the winter. I like to dance (given enough alcohol), comedy clubs, though I'm just as at home on the couch with a good movie. I like to create - graphic design or short films.

Music:

Last concert I attended was Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. I'm very pleased to say that I now know what the hell a synth-axe drumitar is.

Movies:

Top favorites include the (original) Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings trilogy (diehard geek, as I said), Shawshank Redemption, Devil's Advocate, The Goonies, so many more. I also love a good zombie movie...and even a bad one.

Television:

Entourage, Scrubs, Family Guy, South Park, The Sopranos, Highlander

Books:

God help me, I've turned into a political junkie. A few favorites are Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them , The Truth , and America: The Book . Last great books I read were Absurdistan , Bringing Down the House , and Ugly Americans . Youth In Revolt still remains one of my all-time favorites, and mad respect to anyone who's actually heard of that book.

Heroes:

Jon Stewart: I wish he would run for president.
Michael Moore: Though oftentimes I disagree with the particulars of his methods, his heart is in the right place and I admire him for fighting the good fight.
