About Me

fantasy layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com MyHotComments
HotFreeLayouts I'm a half-geeky/half badass rocker girl (if you can get your head around that) who is mostly into progressive rock and metal, but I'll listen to just about anything that will hold my attention. I'm also an aspiring music trivia buff. I'm a logical and healthily cynical person, and I think some people see me as the "voice of reason." I'm also very honest and genuine - what you see is what you get. I'm a good conversationalist and prefer that in others.

My Interests

Music, movies, books, working out, Air America Radio, Egyptian style bellydance, liberal humor, travel, television (in moderate amounts)

I'd like to meet:

Honestly, I find most people boring, but quite simply I am looking to meet like-minded people. Fellow prog fans are welcome, especially ProgPower attendees (you know who you are!) However, I'm a bit picky about who I'll add as friends, as I prefer to associate with people who are unique individuals (but still function in society.) No Republicans allowed (unless we happen to know each other outside of MySpace.)

Music:

Pain of Salvation, Opeth, Fates Warning, Symphony X, Porcupine Tree, Ayreon, Amorphis, Rammstein, The Cure, Ben Folds, Nine Inch Nails, Rush, maybe some Fleetwood Mac when no one's looking, Into Eternity, Therion, Faith No More, O.S.I., Epica, Concrete Blonde, Kamelot, many more

Movies:

Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Michael Moore films, Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2, American Beauty, Billy Elliott - I mostly like dramas but will watch anything that sounds interesting.

Television:

Lost, Simpsons, Family Guy, Suze Orman, The Daily Show, various FitTV and Discovery Health shows, Celebrity Fit Club (guilty pleasure!), Lil' Bush, Henry Rollins Show

Books:

Harry Potter series, Michael Moore, Lord of the Rings, "left wing" politics, various freebies from work...

Heroes:

People who go out there and make a difference instead of sitting at home complaining about things they want to change
