There is a full story about my history at my website: deborahborchers.com.For a brief overview:I started singing at 7 years old, started Love Club with Lawrence Doyle back in the 80s and signed with Popular Metaphysics and MCA, releasing our only album "Lime Twigs and Treachery" in 1990. After 17 years I still get fan mail!! Since some of the songs I still love (especially the last incarnation of Love Club in 'Screaming Echos'), I have them previewed here for now until my newest songs are available from my newest album 'The Nature of Desire'. Hey, I also featured 'Corpses in the Sand' because it is a perfect display for my feelings against the current war. Listen to it and pass it along!!!
What have I done lately?? Well , after a long haitus, I started to write again in 1999. My first project with the uber great Greg Reed on guitar and synths with my vocals, melody and harmonies. I still love the song featured here 'Once Upon a Time' and think that if it were re-done, it could really be great. I am thinking about adding it to "The Nature of Desire", but we will see...
Besides other side projects and some sound design projects, I started working in the Trance Dance arena with Eric Reynolds (AKA 'Moda) and our collaboration bore 'Enchanted Breaks', featured by DJ Chris Salt in his compilation titled 'Future house'. Cool stuff!! I also did a project for Peter Martin adding vocal effects for his 'Simply Blue' remix, released by Armin's label- Armada.... ( I am still waiting for a check, Peter!) I do have a beautiful song that was written from this project whose instrumental will be rewritten. This will be featured on the new album.
Well folks, thanks for stopping by. Let me know what you think!
