Eli Gabriel

Bass player and composer Eli Gabriel was born in Montevideo Uruguay, grew up in Haifa Israel. Since a very young age he was exposed to various styles of music which are incorporated in his compositions and enrich the versatility of his playing. After leaving israel Gabriel lived in Holland and New York. in 2000 he studied in Cuba with master bass player Cachaito Lopez and the changui tresero and bandleader 'Coto'. Currently Gabriel is based in Amsterdam Holland where he plays and records with steady groups and freelances. he plays with: Tuesday night latin jazz special, Rob Armus, Dirk Balthaus, Adir Kochavi, Chris Corstens, Job Chajes, Babak Maddah, Clarence Becton and others.
