!!! 'The Real BRAZILIAN Fake Metal' !!!
!!! SINCE 2004 !!!
There is no way to refuse where you come from, there is no way to refuse who you really are or what you do. Don't try to find explanations for your memorable mistakes that still are in your life, comes around on your mind. In all this passage, some questions came up, and subtle they can give another ways to your plans. Between us, the changed question, keep our ways on the opposing direction that the crowd follow, still the same:
QFLV? (Que Fim Levou Valdir?)
A simple question does not say a lot about a band, the kind of song played or how the members of a band act, however we know very well that a question turns out a lot more doubts than afirmations, or any kind of name like that, which begins a search for an answer. There is that sonorous experimentation thing. Without any compromises, talks and laughs became projects and plans, and everything became more serious when we decided to make the ideas become true. Everton studied with me since the 7th grade, and I met Rodrigo and Thiago Ferrari (his cousin) in one of this talks. I always played guitar, but I used to insist to play drums, because I always liked it. Thiago had already played with Rodrigo in the band 'Old Friends' and without another option, Everton started do play guitar in the band.
We were playing some kind of 'hardcore', something that was very common in 2004, and we would be just one more band of that kind... if something would not change our mind...
One 'inexpected' concert would change our mind. We had everything (at least we thought it) that a band needs to start: musicians, instruments, desire, and the first concert. But we decided that we wanted different things, we wanted 'simples songs to play, but difficult to understand'. We had in our set list just three songs (two own musics and one cover), but it did not matter, we went to the concert anyway. We had the name 'Essencial' but it did not least two beers, it was the exactly time to Rodrigo say that the band would play as 'QFLV', nodoby took it seriously, nobody thought it would remain...
At home, we started thinking what we could do to make this band go forward, with the right people, in the right place. Thiago decided to go out of the band, and I did not know how to play drums. Rodrigo called Roberto, the drummer from 'Old Friends', and I realized that Everton would buy a bass, then I could be the guitarist, finally. We needed another guitarist, then Bruno Ferrari (Thiago's brother) came up, and joined to the band.
With influences like 'Mukeka di Rato', 'Paura', 'The Haunted', 'Iron Maiden', 'Discarga', 'Metallica' and bands like that, our firsts songs came up. It was extremely heavy and fast, and the screams completed the heavy song we were playing. A lot of songs were created, and then we decided to record a 'demo' cd.
With no money, we decided that we should record it in the same studio that my other band (Stolenbox) had recorded: the Papiris Studio. We recorded 5 'live' songs and we sold it on a CD-R, with a poor artwork, we gave the name of ‘Necessidade’ (Necessity) to this first record.
We sold it on the concerts that we played.
Our first 'really trouble' appeared when Bruno came with the notice that his other band, in which he was a free lancer, was about to sign with a label and he would not be able to continue the work with us. The fact that always being with the same formation was essential for us, and if one of us could not continue playing, it could end everything, including the band.
After some talks, we decide to go after somebody to replace Bruno, because we didn..t have any sucess playing with just one guitar.
Lucas always lived in the same building that I, and although the 3 years of difference between us, we have been great friends, and we had the same music teacher.
After Lucas's entrance, many of the main concepts of the band changed. From there in ahead, we decided to explore more the potential of each one of us as musicians, with a melody full of riffs, heavy drums, and a powerfull bass. Bands like Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Atreyu have influenced the new songs.
After a lot of really good concerts, we decided to record our full-lenght. We entered in the studio on May of 2007, and recorded seven songs that we really like. For two months we gave our blood to make all this happen. Our musics sound heavier than before and are difficult to compare.
And we are really glad with the result of all this work.
