SINGLE PEOPLE WILL BE THE MAJORITY BY THE END OF 2007!
Currently 46% of the average church population is single. What does that mean? Well, it means there is a huge opportunity to reach an entire demographic that has been overlooked for too long. Singles are the most un-reached and unchurched part of the population. The nuclear family is changing and typical life trends are a'changing my friends. So that means the church better get on it when it comes to being relevant.
Solid Rock Church in Monroe, OH is launching Singled Out, a new method of touching the changed church with an old message "You have a purpose". "You" as in the single adult who God has hand selected to be single during a very strategic point in your life. It isn't by default, it isn't by mistake, and it isn't by chance that you are on this page in life. You have been SINGLED OUT! Okay, so I know what most of you are thinking. Single ministries are like (fill in the blank).
I know, we have heard them all and in fact listed them out below. Please feel free to comment on some additional stereotypes, but here is the deal. There are over 227,798,491 people in the US over the age of 15 per the 2005 census. Of that number, 101,325,000 are unmarried. In the US, 78% of the population claims to be Christian. Could you imagine what would happen if 79,033,500 Christian single people came together to impact this nation and world?The BIG jesus
