Big Logic "Flammable"

About Me

Any invalid can pick up the mic and call himself an M.C.. Just about anyone can spit some rhymes and venture to call themselves rappers. But how many can rock the mic, whip a crowd of thousands into a frenzy, or enrapture the most diehard of critics in the industry making them procumbent and give acclaim to their native son?
How many artists could or even would dare lay their lives down, willing to die behind Christ for the music? It has been prophesied in the days of old that the uniqueness of living between two centuries will give the strongest a sharper edge to eviscerate one's rivals. He, whose name other M.C.s whisper in the dark, he who makes all other rappers rewrite their lyrics and rethink their strategy, he whom the violins cry out his name, he who from the past till the present and through our immediate future will grace the world with his presence has arrived. He is "BIG LOGIC"!
Big Logic is a cross between the old school and the new age lyricist. He is a complete marriage of class and style from two generations. Big Logic has been dissected and sliced into ultra micro tomes and can nobody fault with the man whose lyrics are colligated by allusion, euphemism and equivocation, conjured from on-high and manifested through his music. The man has no qualms about offending the powers that be so long as the element of truth pervades his being and the message is clear for the masses.
So, what makes this young M.C. so ferocious and so self righteous? Raised on the rough streets of San Bernardino, CA, Big Logic is no stranger to the violence and harsh reality of what it means to grow up in the hood. Tragedy struck him early, when at a tender age, his mother gave up her battle with cancer. But life was just starting for the young man.
He took to the streets, much to his father's disconsent and chagrin, running rampant and causing mayhem. One day after getting tired of his rebellious nature and coming to his senses, he went to his father and told him what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. His father gave him his blessings and Big Logic was born. His anger at the cruel hand fate had dealt him regarding the loss of his mother became channeled and focused on his lyrics.
His influences are Def Jef, Ice T, N.W.A., Public Enemy, LL cool J, and Run D.M.C.. Big Logic went on promotional tours with MC Lyte, Ice Cube, the Lenchmob, House of Pain, Cypress Hill, 7A3, Petey Pablo, Coolio, Timbaland and Mr. Magoo, The Roots and Dj Muggs just to name a few. In 2001 , he completed his debut album subtly titled "Unlimited Thought", and signed a joint venture deal with Goodin Entertainment/Orpheus. The first single "Hyde Ha" stayed on the Billboard charts for 41 weeks in 2002. He sold a reputable total of 140,000 certified copies without any promotion, but by word of mouth and club concerts.
After a year of problems and distrust in the way his career was being managed, Big Logic opted for the clause in his contract that screamed "breach of contract". In May of 2002, he met an aspiring producer by the charismatic name of Luji "The Genie", a Nigerian producer with worldwide flavor in his music and a perfectionist. The combination of Luji's unadulterated sound and Big Logic's intensity is unprecedented in the industry. Luji heard Big Logic flow and lost his mind. He consulted with his partner "Locoman" of Big Bully Records and a deal was signed. The result is a sophomore album entitled "Flammable".
Asked why the title of his album is called "Flammable", Big Logic simply replies with attitude, "Cuz it's too hot, n***a!" The growth between the first and the second album is of parallel dimensions. "Flammable" reflects and depicts an M.C. who has come into his own and finally has a direction and a home. The album tells the life story of a man. Be part of it. Get to know Big Logic. Brace yourselves, though. It ain't pretty.
