PUNK ROCK REVIVAL

How many of you have noticed that punk rock has been in a bit of a coma over a few years, ever since the label EMO! has come out, its been pretty hard to spot a true punk.
Now people are starting to say that emo is the new punk (I dont think so), in the 70's do you think punks were writing and singing songs about there girlfriends breaking up with them (no!, i didn't think so), they were writing songs about there anger towards social injustice.
Punks also dressed to alienate themselves from society and to stick it to those conservetive fucks.
Now that emo has come in its about suits and stupid fringes that everybody has.
Ask anyone and they will tell you that punks looked scary to them, emo's look like someone i'd take to visit my grandmother.
how could this get so far (its a question, but i dont have answers) kids are think emo is punk, and its gonna keep going and going and going, so we need to put a stop this bullshit before its to late.
