I was born in Ankara, 23th June, 1985. I moved to Izmir in1989. First i started to play guitar at the age of 9. I took lessons for two years. In 1998 i started to play drums. I studied by myself about two years. Then i had taken some lessons from Ayhan Oztoplu to improve my technical skills. At that time i had started to play with a band called “Hi-Jazz”. We were playing Blues&Rock’n Roll. We played at some clubs and festivals in Izmir. Then i started to play with my own band called “So What”. (Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, Blues Pop-Rock and Oldies…). In these years we have played at some clubs, festivals and some organizations… From the year of 2002, I started to study especially jazz. I have joined some workshops in and outside from Turkey. With ; Mario Raja, Bruno Tommaso, Marvi La Spina, Claudio Fasoli, Antonio Zambrini, Al Foster, Doug Weiss, Sam Yahel, Seligo Jazz Quartet, Ilaria Patassini, Stefano Cesare, Alessandro Girotto, Fulvio Maras… At the same time i studied and worked with Yavuz Daridere (hammond&trumpet) and Ayhan Oztoplu(drums) who are well known musicians in Turkey. (Especially jazz). In 2006 i won a scholarship from Siena Jazz Association and i studied in 37. International Jazz Master Classes in Siena, ITALY. I studied with Ettore Fioravanti, Francesco Petreni, Massimo Manzi and Claudio Fasoli in Siena. In 2006’s summer, I worked with Keisa Brown(singer) and Elvan Arici(piano&trombone). In 2007 i won a scholarship from Drummers Collective New York. Now i am in New York and working with such great musicians like ;Peter Retzlaff, Frank Gravis, Ian Froman, Pat Petrillo... They are all great...
