Sinem Dinçer was born in Iskenderun. Her first contact with art started classical music and radio theatre of TRT because of her mother (Her mother was listening them while she was sleeping:) and because of her father's archives of Yesilcam Movies, she discovered playing video-player before she learned writing and reading. At this time, she started interesting with the cinema.At the age of four, when her cousion took her to the theatre, she saw the players on the stage who are known from moviescreen. That was the first comlexity on her mind about imagination and reality:) After finishing the primary school, she started studying piano with Boguslaw Wodka.(But the first instrument that she played was flute at the age of four) Period of this time, she left interesting with classical music, she discriminatied jazz from all other styles. Only the problem was, there were no jazz musicians who came to the city where she lived, for the concerts. Because of this, she listened jazz from cds in there. In 2001, she left her piano in Iskenderun and moved to Istanbul for the college. After that, she didn't play piano again. In Istanbul, she started studying at Turkish Language and Literature Department at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. While she was studying at college, she graduated from Radio School of Mujdat Gezen Art Center. (She made her first radio programme in TRT Hatay Radio when she was sixteen). In this school, she learned lots of things about working for radio from Bulent Ozveren, Gulgun Feyman, Attila Sarikayali, Elcin Temel, Savas Ay, Umit Zileli, Ozge Yalciner. At the same time, she studied for writing screenplay with Gaye Boralioglu and Nese Sen at Istanbul Bilgi University. After finished all of this programmes, she joined to Selim Evci Short Film Workshop at Aksanat. She acted in short film "Karsilasma" which directed by Selim Evci in that workshop. Finally, she comleted her education at Dijital Film Academy(DFA) with teachers Omer Faruk Sorak, Dervis Zaim, Yonca Ertürk, Askin Sagiroglu, Ender Akay, Levent Intepe, Ulas Cihan Simsek.While she was studying in this academy, she took a documentary with her three friends which directed by Haluk Unal.
