Hi, my name is Pete and photography is my thing.
I am a Brisbane photographer. I love meeting people of all walks of life, I find anyone and everyone interesting in their own way. I’m one of those people that moved from Melbourne to Brisbane to drink all of it’s water supply dry. I moved up for a year to help a guy get his studio up and running, by the time the year was up I had fallen in love with the place and decided to stay, that was five years ago.
For bread and butter I shoot Editorial, Corporate and Events, but my passion is fashion. In here and Fashionising I like to concentrate my efforts into meeting people in the creative industries, I get to meet everyone else in the 3D world, the one that has fragrance , wind, rain and warmth from the sun. So if you are a designer of any sort, a make-up artist, hair stylist, clothing or prop stylist, model, photographer, painter, poet, novelist, musician, mime artist, juggler………(you get the gist) stop and say hi and share your talent.
Have a look at some of my shots, I'm alway interested in peoples opinions wether they love it, hate it or otherwise.
Fashion! The word "fashion" usually relates to a mode of expression, but quite often applies to a personal mode of expression that may or may not apply to all. What is right, what is wrong, what is hot and what is not? The trick is not to give a shit, you should have enough balls to say “I’m wearing this because I like it on me and it makes me feel greatâ€. So wear it, flaunt it, strut it and love it. Have fun with it.
This slide show is about images that are a result of collaborative efforts of hair & make-up stylists, clothing stylists and my self to express a mutual vibe.
The slide show below is from a catwalk shoot on the Gold Coast, Australia. It was the Australian National Retail Associations Fashion Finals. It’s an annual show that promotes up and coming designers of Australia and showcases significant Australian fashion designers.
These stills are from short films that I have shot. I'd love to do some more when I get more time. Working with the crews is a blast.
