More twang than other similarly priced acts ...

About Me

Once they were 6. Now they are 5 for one legendary warrior has wandered off on a brave solo (well, duo actually) quest to battle the beasts of the evil gods of ChildRearin'... Yup, this is the story of P-Tex. You are on the right page and not on the site for ‘The Dragons of Krythandoooooorrrrr Trilogy’. Anyway… So Conrad, the upright bass player dude and Man in Black, became a Daddy and consequently retired from Rawk duties, leaving the band potentially without a bottom end. Which can be painful. And so Al-G, keyboard player etc became Al-G, bass player, resulting in what the critics are calling “a leaner, meaner sound”, “less tinkly” and “what happened to Conrad?”Now the band is out and about promoting a batch of new songs that show a move away from the earlier twang sound towards a stripped back Rawk sound. Imagine, if you will, a smooth malt blend of CSN&Y, The Faces, Steve Earle, the Stones (natch!), Steve Miller and The Band. With a touch of jangle thrown in. You'd be gettin' real close and probably kinda thirsty. So hope on in and join the band for some general hip swivellin', whisky snortin' rock and roll. Or, as the audience shout (bless every goddam one of 'em), 'rock and ROOOOOLLLLLLL!!!!'Nice one.
