Nomma

Hailing from the East Helsinki, 25 years old Tommi Ahonen is a fine young musician behind the alias Nomma. After several different rock bands Nomma has found himself going solo and doing one of the most promising debut albums of this year. With strong background on rock Nomma's solo stuff has been described as "where cold and deep electronics meets fully melancholic folk creating something beautiful, warm and sad at the same time". Operating from his livingroom studio Nomma has produced and recorded all the tracks by himself. Being a fully self educated producer Nomma has done some studies on jazz guitar too. When it comes to influences there should be named people like Thom Yorke and 3d of Massive Attack as they share lots of same aesthetics on their sound. This shining new talent and his solo debut shouldn't be too hard to discover for both mainstream music lovers and to more versed in underground heads.
