We, the “Nitsitapi’ – ‘Real People’ are Whirlwinds that move through this world, awakening, dancing, dreaming, shifting and soaring through our existence, our struggles and success, and our voice. The generation of our youth today is instrumental in continuing to whirlwind throughout this world, in our way of life, and around those we encounter to honor those who walked before us. Together, we gather, search, recover, find, sing and dance as beings that embody the memories of our ancestors who we live through today and who live through us tomorrow.Andrea True Joy Fox was recently crowned Miss Blackfoot Canada 2008 and will be representing Alberta, Canada, and the Blackfoot First Nations by competing in the 2008 Miss Indian World Pageant in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Gathering of Nations.
