First album for this US band from Nashville (Tennessee) and no, it's not country music! Simply put this is great rock music. Solid songwriting and performing, Naked Beggars offer us high energy, punchy and inspired songs. Their music definitely makes you wanna play it loud. Playing a very american music that conjures up images of wide landscapes, small towns, dusty roads under the sun, southern atmosphere this album smells of oil and alcohol. So let's embark on a road trip aboard the all rockin' n' rollin' Naked Beggars pickup truck! One thing that's for sure is that Naked Beggars are back with a forceful and more technical album. The addition of the talented Jeff LaBar certainly has something to do with it. Still true to their love for good rock music, the band however widens its musical horizon proposing this time more diversity in their songwriting and sound. Where the first album ' Naked Beggars ' was all rock'n'roll and energy, ' Spit It Out ' is deeper and more subtle. A solid rock album with great guitar parts from Kris Casamento and Jeff LaBar, mighty rhythm section (damn that groovy bass is killer!) and of course the powerful and sensual vocals. Moreover Naked Beggars surprises us with an emotioning piano and some unexpected fiddle parts provided here by Kristine Brasuell and impeccable backing vocals throughout the record. After listening to this album one notices the clever balance between rock/hard rock songs with acoustic or slower tracks and one can only admire the potential and talent of this band. A bit of promo for my friend Dalia's webzine and our fansite dedicated to Paradise Lost . Gryphonmetal is a metal/rock webzine, updated daily with news, tour dates, interviews, reviews, live reports with beautiful pictures. Based in Switzerland, run by an Italian woman and a German photographer, Gryphonmetal webzine team is international, mainly European (Italy, Germany, UK, France, Greece...) but also North and South American. NAKED BEGGARS

As a Cinderella fan i couldn't ignore this band ' NAKED BEGGARS ' . I didn't know what to expect from them and let me tell you that the surprise was very pleasant when i heard the songs on their myspace page

This is simply good music, good rock music. Needless to say that the interpretation is excellent cause these people know how to play and sing! The singer's name is Inga (she's the girl with the pink t-shirt on the picture above) and she's got a superb voice! Energetic (as can be expected from a rock singer) with a dose of aggressivity on songs like Lies , she can be sweet and emotional too on tracks like What's the Question and Lullaby . A damn good singer! The musicians are all talented and one can feel that they really play with their hearts, just like this music should be played actually. As i'm not good at all at talking about this, the best thing i can do to do them justice is to invite you to check out their songs on myspace and visit the official website. Here you go:

Tapping The Vein

Successful gig for Tapping The Vein with over 1400 people attending Dracula's Ball in Philadelphia! The band played new songs (see the setlist below, new songs in red) and already they are well received. Excitement about the new album is in the air! Hope to get soon more info and pictures to show you. Already a blog with pics has been posted. Please check Dracula's Ball myspace page and read the comments and you will also find there a comment from the fan who's written the blog. Tapping The Vein new album is produced by the talented Neil Kernon and should be released in the next few months. So stay tuned!
