Gods Fallen was formed in late summer/early fall of 2007, Born from the remains of other NY based bands. Front man Jon Tavares and Guitarist Scott Marriott are the two original founders. Jon is from NYC and was involved with a band called TERMINAL for a number of years. Scott was in many bands here in Upstate NY, CONTORTION and GHOST being the two main projects he had. Around Sept. of 2007 Jon and Scott began to look for other musicians and found Kevin Barbour-2nd Guitar (who has played with NEGATIVE INFLUENCE and LIQUID DAMAGE to name a few) and with this came the birth of GODS FALLEN. After a short stint with no bassist the band found Brian Sweet who also played for LIQUID DAMAGE for a short time and brought him onboard to complete their line-up. We play music that we would want to hear opposed to playing music to just fit in and go with the flow. Our music ranges from NY Hardcore to Death Metal. But we call ourselves a METAL BAND! With absolutely NO lack of experience on anyones part and being that this band is new, we have already been able to play along side of Metal Legends, ROTTING CHRIST and IMMOLATION! We are in the process of writing material for our First Official Full length album scheduled for release in the summer/fall of 2008 as well as our first demo, which will be available in the weeks to come.
