About Me

This is the official Myspace of graverobbingmetrics. My name is James Secord and I'm a grave robber, A restorer, and a fabricator. What I do is locate metric motorcycles that for one reason or another have fallen into such a state as to be one phone call away from the bone yard. graverobbingmetrics is dedicated to showing how average people with modest tools and a reasonable budget can take a rotting corpse of a motorcycle and in a few short weeks be tooling down the road on a restored gem from the past. Myself and a growing list of associates will blog about our progress, our mistakes, and our out-of-the-box solutions to just about every possable thing that can come up with these bikes. Its our hope you learn a thing or two that helps you keep your bike in tip top condition. Our interest in bikes keeps us wrenching and fixing all sorts of problems. Metric bikes are what we ride because thats what we can afford. Graverobbingmetrics love all bikes. The damaged and discarded bikes we find are stolen from the gates of the bone yard and with a truely modest set of tools that should be in every persons garage and a tiny budget, we try to restore these bikes to road worthy condition. On Graverobbingmetrics the only free trailer ride bikes get is the ride to the shop. Nothing makes me feel sad like watching a beautiful bike roll down the road on top of a flat bed trailer. Bikes belong on the road. GRM will show every step of the restoration process to our friends and fans. Also we will show in simple language how we manage to maintain and repair bikes most would give up on. We will show all of this and more while using only tools everyone can afford. Most of this stuff just isn't very hard, heck if we can do it in my driveway Im sure you can too!. Read the blogs and updates and check out my pictures for detailed solutions to problems that dont need to be fatal to these old rollers. My friends and I, are hard working Average people dedicated to finding solutions to all the issues that come up with our bikes. We rely on ourselves and help each other. Our love of motorcycles and the open road is the common thread that makes us all part of an extended family. That’s my introduction; check my blogs for current projects and creative remedies for all sorts of motorcycle problems. Feel free to email questions about any metric motorcycle you would like some help with. Add GRM to your friends!James Secord Owner, Grave Robbing Metrics I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Im looking for friends, fans, and anyone interestested in motorcycles. I work on metric bikes but all bikes are welcome! Add Graverobbingmetrics to your friend list, and share in my motorcycle adventures. Who knows you might even learn a thing or two...I will add anyone to my friends list so long as they arn't porn(not that I got any problem with free nudity):) If I reject you, try a message first(your site probably just looks like porn, but doesnt qualify as the spammer jammer wanna slammer sites) Seriously, Grave Robbing Metrics has nothing against nudity, we do have a problem with weapons of mass distraction, and thats what free nudity is a terribly attractive distraction! We got work to do! So if your porn please dont take it personaly that we dont want to chat or watch your web cam. Besides, were all pretty much emotionaly unavailable. ;) Wanna be my friend and your a band! Great! I am an avid self promoter and would love to add your band! Just ask.

Movies:

I was entertained by Wild Hogs.

Anything published by Clymer or Haynes. Those books are worth their weight in gold!

Heroes:

I guess my motorcycle heros are the builders that inspire emotion in the form of their creations. There are many.
